Oh! It's you! Sorry 'bout that... Sixth Year - Lesson 4
Shrake Shrakes are fish entirely covered in spines. They are found in the Atlantic Ocean. They aren't particularly dangerous, except for being a fish covered entirely in spines. That was enough to make the Ministry of Magic give them a XXX (3X) rating. Or perhaps it has more to do with the fact that Shrakes are a little bit aggressive and that their spines are rather sharp. Legend says that a team of sailing wizards created the Shrake in the 1800s, after Muggles insulted them. Since then, Muggles fishing in that area find their nets ripped up and empty from Shrakes swimming swimming below.
Tebo Tebos are ash-coloured warthogs. They are found in Congo and Zaire. They are ugly. What makes Tebos special is that they can make themselves invisible, making them difficult to catch or evade. The evading part is most unfortunate, as Tebos are known for their nasty disposition. Between their easily angered nature, their tusks, and the fact that they can be invisible even as they attack you, they are given a Class XXXX (4X) rating Wizards do seek Tebos out, despite the risk, as Tebo hide is excellent for use in protective shields and clothing.
Ghoul Ghouls are ugly, but not particularly dangerous. They are given a Class XX (2X) rating by the Ministry of Magic. They resemble a slimy, buck-toothed ogre. They eat spiders and moths and other small insects. They moan, throw objects, and, when startled, may growl alarmingly at the person or creature that startles it. Beyond that, they are largely simple-minded creatures. Ghouls live in attics or barns belonging to wizards. In many cases, the ghoul becomes a talking point or a family pet; something to be proud of. Should the residence of the Ghoul pass into Muggle hands, the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures has a Ghoul Task Force which will remove the Ghoul from that residence.
